Alarm Communication Methods
ACS offers a wide array of options for sending signals from your intrusion panel to our UL-listed monitoring station. ACS recommends that you utilize more than one means of communication, to prevent a break in communication due to storms or tampering by an intruder.
|
Digital Dialer
Appropriate only for installations with an available POTS ("plain old telephone) analog line. Not appropriate for installations with VOIP or cable phone service. (Current customers - Please advise ACS if POTS line is removed.) |
Network
The internet provides an alternate means of communication for homes without an available POTS line. This communication path may be supervised and can alert you when down. |
|
RF Transmission
Is a private, two way, wireless mesh alarm communications system. It does not require telephone line, cellular or network service. |
GSM Cellular
Delivers secure, reliable and complimentary digital communications via the GSM network. Another alternative for home without an available POTS line. (Link to Alarm.com promo video) |
